JellyFish and Blue Fin Tuna in Monterey Bay

Well it's been a while since our last post. Nothing like a vacation to get back on track. On Wednesday June 24th, we picked up a Sebring convertible, dropped off Samson at the PetsHotel, and got on the 5 freeway. That's pretty much were we stayed for the next several hours until we reached a tiny place called Lost Hills. Bright and early the next morning, we hit the road again to Monterey. It took 3 hours to get there, but the rolling hills made for great scenery. Upon arrival, we immediately went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which was just spectacular! I could stay for hours in front of the jellyfish tanks. They are so mesmerizing to look at. I also got a kick out of the large tank that held sharks and really really large blue fin tuna. It was really cool and recommend it especially if you have kids. They had this area called the splash zone, where kids can play in the water. I wish I knew about that when I was a kid. :) One thing that I loved to look at was the anchovy aquarium over our heads. Pretty cool! Anyways, we had a great time at the aquarium and the hotel that we stayed in was considered historic. It was tiny, but it definitely had charm. We ate "award-winning" clam chowder and took a walk along the boardwalk from Fisherman's Warf to Cannery Row. There were so many cool shops, but one caught my eye immediately...Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! One of my favorite things are the Butterfinger Caramel Apple. I just had to have one!
