Open House in Simms
The day after our Wedding, Jan planned an open house at the Steyee’s home. The Steyee’s did a wonderful job getting the place ready for the party. We arrived around 7 and before long, people arrived from all over the place. I only knew a few people from my prior visits to Montana, but I met so many nice friends and family members on the Gray side. Many people brought appetizer for food and we tried it all. It was absolutely delicious! Jan and Melissa decorated the yard with hearts that had Ryan and I’s brand on it. One brand was a R with a lazy S (I kinda was curious why I would be the lazy one :) ) and another had a G with an R and S. They were so cute, I ended up bring some of them home and displayed them in my kitchen. It was so nice to see all the support and kindness from people I hardly knew. There should be more places like Simms, where everyone knows one another, shows their hospitality by offering up their home, and driving long distances to show their support for someone they hardly know. I was really touched to read everyone’s cards and their kind words. Thanks to all that contributed to the party, it really was a memorable experience.
