Aloha from the island of Kauai! Ryan and I are sitting on the terrace of the Kauai Marriott overlooking the pool. We’ve got 45 minutes before we take off to our Zipline adventure in the forest on the Island. It’s beautiful here and the weather has been great also. Just wanted to add a post on the party we had last Saturday (7/5). We had a fun get together at the Laguna Niguel Regional Park and enjoyed the day with the Mendoza Family and Frey/Lowe Family. It was such a fun time and it was so nice to see everyone in one location. On the Mendoza side, all my aunts and uncles were there. It’s been a while since they were all together. My Uncle Marco came all the way from Santa Barbara where just that same morning he was on the fire’s front line rescuing the animals in central California. It was also great to see my Uncle Bob, Aunt Marla, and Aunt Lee as well. The weather was beautiful, a little warmer than I would have liked, but since I cut my hair short, it was much more tolerable. J.P and Ernie cooked burgers on the bbq and we had a lot of Lumpia, pancit, and a filipino dish my stepdad made (the name escapes me for the moment). It was all delicious and it reminded me of years past when the family got together and filipino feasts.
Thanks to all who made the day special!
